Who we are

Higher Education Marketing (HEM) is a free resource library operated by Manaferra LLC, a digital marketing agency focused on higher education. Our website is located at highereducationmarketing.com.

Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. This includes pages visited, time on site, referral source, and general geographic region. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.
• Newsletter subscriptions. If you subscribe to the HEM newsletter, we collect your email address. This is processed by our email platform (Beehiiv). We use your email solely to send newsletter issues.
• Resource submissions. If you submit a resource for consideration, we collect the information you provide in that form (URL, name, and optional notes). We do not share this information with third parties.
• Usage signals. We track aggregate resource click counts to surface popular content. This data is not tied to individual users or sessions.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies for analytics purposes through Google Analytics 4. These cookies do not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels from social media platforms, or any form of behavioral retargeting on this site.

How we use information

• To improve the content and structure of the HEM library
• To send newsletter issues to subscribers (with your explicit consent)

Data retention

Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months by default. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Resource submission data is retained for as long as needed for editorial review.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at the email address below. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any issue.
