currently serve as the Assistant Vice President for Marketing & Content Creation at The Parish Group, a higher education marketing firm based in Asheville, North Carolina. In this role, I write copy for our partner institutions' communications including brochures, email campaigns, letter packages, call scripts, microsites, postcards, and more. Additionally, I spearhead TPG's internal marketing initiatives, manage their social media channels, and write blogs for the company's website.
I received an MFA in Creative Writing with a focus in Poetry at North Carolina State University where I worked as a graduate teaching assistant instructing Freshman Composition and Writing. I obtained my B.A. in English with a double major in International Relations from Florida State University.
In my spare time, I serve as the Associate Editor for Ember: A Journal of Luminous Things, a children's literary magazine under E&GJ Press.

In 2022, I was nominated by Identity Theory for Sundress Publication's Best of the Net 2023 Anthology for my poem "Euryale". The Shore nominated my poem "The Playlist Reaches at the Bottom of Everything" for a Pushcart Prize in Fall of 2021. My poem "Euryale" was selected as a finalist for the 2021 Joy Bale Boone Poetry Prize. My poem "Hymn to the Mustache" was selected as a finalist for the 2021 NC State Poetry Contest. In 2018, I won the Sassaman Award for Outstanding Creative Writing from Florida State University for a portfolio of poems.
I believe that my love of language feeds into my professional roles as both require a keen eye for clear, concise messaging. Creativity is a skill that flourishes in any industry.
